Wittgenstein: P.I., #2

Lines snatched from Philosophical Investigations.

To be an accompaniment of speech.

This pen is blunt.
I might test the point
with a gesture of resignation.

Nonetheless,
utter a sentence
and now don’t utter it,
sing it slower,
masked as a soft sound.

Memory: hear it
in one’s phrase.
Adopt another in its place.

Persuade us to give up
the ruler & compass.
